Kementerian Belia Dan Sukan kini menawarkan Program Jatidiri Kesukarelaan Nasional (PJKN) terbuka kepada remaja dan belia yang berumur di antara 18 hingga 25 tahun.
PJKN ini ditawarkan khusus kepada remaja/ belia lelaki dan perempuan yang berminat dan tidak terpilih untuk mengikuti Program Latihan Khidmat Negara. Matlamat utama PJKN ini adalah untuk menyediakan golongan remaja /belia dengan beberapa bidang ilmu asas mengenai jati diri dan kesukarelaan, agar golongan ini dapat memimpin diri ke arah menjadi warganegara yang berguna, berkeperibadian mulia dan cemerlang dalam kerjaya yang bakal diceburinya. Kandungan pengisian dalam program ini berteraskan kepada konsep 4K iaitu Kemahiran, Kepimpinan, Kesukarelaan dan Keusahawanan yang merangkumi 5 modul berikut:
I - Modul Pembinaan Jatidiri
II - Modul Pembinan Kepimpinan
III - Modul Pembinaan Kesukarelawanan
IV - Modul Pembinaan Pendidikan Dan Kemahiran
V - Modul Pembinaan Kerjaya Dan Keusahawanan
Sehubungan dengan itu pihak pelaksana program iaitu YAYASAN PENGURUSAN ILMU ingin menawarkan program tersebut kepada ahli Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia untuk menyertai PJKN untuk sesi ini.

PERKHEMAHAN ANTARABANGSA PANDU PUTERI REMAJA 2008
Pada 14 Mac 2008, Pesuruhjaya Kebangsaan Pandu Puteri Remaja bersama-sama Ahli jawatankuasa Perkhemahan telah melwat tapak perkhemahan di KBN Ulu Kenas, Kuala Kangsar.
Tempatnya amat menarik. Pelbagai aktiviti yang dirancangkan untuk perkhemahan ini pun menarik.

Pengumuman: SEMINAR DATO' HENDON 2008
Akan diadakan mulai 2 hingga 4 Mei 2008 di Kuala Lumpur, terbuka kepada Pemimpin Muda berumur antara 18 hingga 30 tahun.
Sila beri nama kepada Ketua Pesuruhjaya Cawangan ATAU hantar nama terus kepada Cik Grace di Ibu Pejabat Kebangsaan.
Kali ini Seminar Dato' Hendon akan menghidangkan juadah berkaitan "Strategic Leadership".

International Training Workshop on Disaster Risk & Environmental Management
Date: 5th - 8th July 2008
Venue: Melaka, Malaysia
The World Youth Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia and the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department Malaysia will be hosting an International Training Workshop on Disaster Risk & Environmental Management tentatively scheduled to be held in July 2008, Melaka, Malaysia.
This International Training Workshop on Disaster Risk & Environmental Management is a follow-up of the International Training Workshop for Youth Representatives on Environment and Disaster Management held in August 2006 and the International Conference on Environment and Disaster Management held in August 2005 in Melaka, Malaysia by the Foundation.
The international training workshop will focus to introduce young people to the fields of Disaster Risk Management and Environmental Management and includes wide ranging topics to develop a broad based understanding of these fields. It also includes exercises for participants to get practical knowledge.
The three-day workshop will operate primarily in an interactive mode. Key issues relating to the environment and disasters will be presented by the course instructors in the form of interactive lectures, utilizing multi-media and documentary films and including intensive Q-and-A sessions. The lectures will draw upon cases studies of good practice from around the world. The lectures will be linked to a series of group exercises, the outcomes of which will be peer and expert reviewed.
The basic idea driving this mode is to make participants brainstorm in groups composed of diverse members and arrive at solutions and answers that represent their diverse experiences, serving as foundation for future roles in policy-making and institutional leadership, areas which are increasingly becoming multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional.
Objectives:
The objectives of this International Training Workshop are:
- To create awareness and encourage greater educational presence on issues pertaining to disaster risk management.. ?
- To empower youth to use education and communication as key tools to achieve MDGs
- To examine existing approaches and proven success stories on environment conservation, i.e awareness and prevention ?programmes
- To understand, involve and dialogue with youth about environment ?sustainability ?
Proposed Outcome
At the end of the training participants will be expected to define an agenda that can be followed up in their own contexts after conclusion of the workshop. Another possible outcome to be achieved at the workshop is to develop an electronic or other network between interested participants that can inform and define future agenda for such youth-based learning events.
Application Criteria:
- 80 youth representatives from various national youth councils / organizations/ or school of higher learning
- 10 representatives of collaborating Ministries and international non-governmental organizations working on disaster management, environment and sustainable development related aspects and representatives of United Nations agencies.
- Must be proficient in English
- Must have knowledge on issues pertaining to the training workshop
- Must be able to contribute positively to the objectives of the training workshop
- Be young people between the ages of 18-25; however some flexibility will be exercised as the definition of youth varies from country to country
- Geographical and gender balance will be respected
The Foundation will provide accommodation, meals and local hospitality for the duration of the training workshop only.

Upon receiving the application forms a Selection Committee will review all the applications and select the most deserving participant. The decision of the Selection Committee is final. A letter of confirmation will then be sent to successful participants with the necessary information by email. Those who require the letter by fax must inform the foundation accordingly. This seminar is FREE OF CHARGE for selected participants. You just need to fund your own travel to the seminar venue.

PROGRAM PERTUKARAN BELIA ANTARABANGSA
Program Pertukaran Belia Antarabangsa adalah antara program yang dianjurkankan oleh Kementerian Belia dan Sukan. Program ini melibatkan pertukaran belia dua buah negara di mana ianya diadakan hasil perjanjian Negara Malaysia dengan mana-mana negara. Setiap tahun, Malaysia akan menghantar delegasi belia ke luar negara untuk mengikuti program ini dan akan di balas oleh negara berkenaan dengan menghantar delegasi dari negaranya ke Malaysia.
Objektif utama program pertukaran belia ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk mengenengahkan belia Malaysia ke peringkat antarabangsa dengan memberikan mereka pengalaman dan pengetahuan di perantauan di samping menjadi duta kecil Malaysia yang bertanggungjawab menonjolkan Malaysia dari pelbagai aspek. Program ini juga adalah merupakan titian bagi hubungan dua hala yang diharapkan akan dapat mewujudkan persefahaman dari aspek sosial dan budaya masing-masing. Selain itu ia juga melibatkan pertukaran buah fikiran dan idea, serta saling mempelajari di antara belia kedua-dua buah negara dalam usaha membangunkan negara masing-masing. Melalui kehadiran delegasi belia dari luar negara ke Malaysia juga secara tidak langsung akan dapat membantu mempromosikan Malaysia di peringkat antarabangsa.
Program pertukaran belia ini juga adalah merupakan penghargaan dan pengiktirafan yang diberikan kepada golongan belia di atas sumbangan mereka terhadap pembangunan belia di Malaysia . Ini kerana pemilihan dibuat adalah berdasarkan kepada tempoh penglibatan serta sumbangan mereka di dalam pertubuhan / persatuan belia masing-masing.
Setiap tahun, Kementerian Belia dan Sukan akan mengadakan program pertukaran ini. Antara program pertukaran tersebut ialah:

Pertukaran Belia Malaysia - Indonesia
Kem Belia Malaysia - Singapura

7. Have good knowledge in youth movement, both in the country and in other countries
8. Have leadership skills, presentable and willing to work in a team
9. Have discipline and upkeep the image of self, contingent and the country
10. Follow instructions and ethics as a participant sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in visits to other countries

"Leading Teams and Cultural Diversity in WAGGGS "
Participation: Active members of Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia between 18-35 years old.
Date: 12 - 18 January 2009
Venue: Our Caba?a, World Centre of WAGGGS located in Cuernavaca, Morelos, M?xico
Fees: USD 530.00 Total (including food, accommodation and program)
Languages: English and Spanish
Theme:
The World Association aims to engage and empower young women, so that they can make a difference in their communities. We want to reach out to more girls and young women - and to make the Movement grow. ?
We have three main goals for our vision between now and 2011:
o Leadership Development - Capacity Building
o Strong and Growing Member Organizations - Revitalizing the Movement
o The Voice of Girls and Young Women - Building a Better World
For this reason we will be working around a new module that our Association has been developing in the last couple of years based on Leadership.
The WAGGGS Leadership Development Program is a key goal of WAGGGS Strategic Plan in this triennium. It forms the framework for the development of current and potential leaders within the organization at national, regional and world level. Leadership development in WAGGGS will be approached from two angles namely:
1. Providing opportunities for existing leaders to develop international leadership skills and experiences, to meet their needs and the needs of the organisation (at national MO, regional and world level);
2. By actively developing potential leaders, specifically young women for current and future roles.
The WAGGGS Leadership Development Program is broader than just programs of activity or organized learning. It is a process concerned with the ongoing development of leaders within a constructive and supported environment.
As the program has developed, it has become clearer that the four aspects of international leadership that are unique to the organization are central to the Program.
They are:
- Values based
- Non formal education
- Inter-generational
- Cross cultural
These aspects are threaded throughout the program, in content, delivery and application of learning.
Goal:
An Effective Leader knows:
- How teams works
- What makes a team effective
- How to form a team
- How to create the identity of a group
- How individual roles function in a team
- How to communicate a purpose
- How to manage conflict and resolve problems ?

- Develops and implements a diversity strategy
- Demonstrate cross cultural understanding
- Communicates effectively across cultures ? ? ? ?

Program Pelayaran KLD Tunas Samudera 2008

PROGRAM PELAYARAN KLD TUNAS SAMUDERA (SKIM BELIA) BAGI TAHUN 2008
Cawangan Pembangunan Sosial, Bahagian Pembangunan Belia, Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia dengan kerjasama Tentera Laut DiRaja Malaysia (TLDM) akan meneruskan program pelayaran KLD Tunas Samudera di bawah skim belia bagi tahun 2008.
Program ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan pengetahuan ilmu pelayaran dan mencintai warisan maritim negara kepada golongan belia.
Penyertaan program terbuka kepada belia berumur 17 - 30 tahun serta aktif dalam persatuan belia.
Untuk menyertai:
- Sila sertakan 2 salinan borang penyertaan kepada Ibu Pejabat PPPM sebelum 14 Mei 2008.
- Untuk mendapatkan borang penyertaan, sila datang ke Ibu Pejabat Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia atau e-mel kepada gracetyl@panduputeri.org.my
- Sila pastikan status keahlian anda. Pengesahan hanya akan diberi kepada ahli yang berdaftar atau mendaftar semula pada tahun 2008. Sekiranya anda belum berdaftar, anda boleh berdaftar dengan Pesuruhjaya Daerah / Ketua Pesuruhjaya Cawangan atau daftar terus dengan Ibu Pejabat PPPM. Anda cuma perlu mengisi borang keahlian dan membayar yuran RM 5.00 setahun untuk keahlian dewasa. Sekiranya anda sudah berdaftar, sila hantar salinan resit sebagai bukti.

Mengenai Kapal Layar DiRaja Tunas Samudera
Pendahuluan
Kapal Layar DiRaja (KLD) Tunas Samudera adalah satu program anjuran bersama Kementerian Belia dan Sukan dengan kerjasama Tentera Laut DiRaja Malaysia. Program ini adalah di bawah kelolaan Cawangan Pembangunan Sosial. Kapal layar ini berfungsi sebagai kapal layar latihan.
Peranan dan Objektif
Untuk memberi peluang kepada belia mengenali kehidupan Maritim. Peserta akan diajar cara pelayaran, ketahanan mental dan fizikal, membina jati diri dan disiplin dan membina semangat setiakawan dan kerjasama.
Program
Program ini telah dirancang untuk memberi peluang pengembaraan yang menarik semasa berada di atas kapal.
Tempoh program: 14 hari (10 hari di atas kapal dan 4 hari orientasi)
Pelayaran diadakan sebanyak 4 kali setahun.
Penyertaan
- Belia yang aktif dalam persatuan belia, umur 17-30 tahun.
- Hendaklah mendapat pengesahan dari persatuan yang diwakili
- Pengesahan dari doktor yang bertauliah adalah diperlukan semasa mendaftar diri
- Program ini adalah satu penghargaan kepada belia yang aktif dalam persatuan
Aktiviti di atas Kapal:
- Ice-breaking antara peserta dan staff crew
- Penerangan mengenai kapal
- Pengenalan kepada jenis-jenis layar
- General drill
- Kuiz am
- Ikatan Tali
- Kecergasan diri (memanjat tiang layar setinggi 30m)
- Permainan indoor & outdoor
- Pemasangan dan penurunan layar
- Malam kebudayaan
- Pertandingan logo dan motto
- Look-out
- Pengendalian kapal layar
- Latihan menembak
- Mempelajari bahasa di laut
- Mempelajari tiupan wisel
- Bertugas di "Galley"
- Tugasan "Sunset"
- Tugasan pagi
- Happy hours
- Latihan kecemasan

Pertandingan- "THE MALAYSIAN CHAPTER of the UN GAID Global Youth Forum 2008"
Penyertaan: Remaja 18 - 25 tahun
Jenis Pertandingan:
1. Option 1 - a summary of the comprehensive written document, up to max 500 words. (The in-depth document inclusive of pictures & images will be presented and showcased at the Forum.)
2. Option 2 - document it on video or digital storytelling (3-5 minutes).
3. Option 3 - Produce an active electronic presentation (ie: powerpoint)
4. Competition from 21st August 2008 - 25th September 2008
Hadiah:
Tiga pemenang utama berpeluang menghadiri 2008 UN GAID Global Youth Forum di Armenia, dari 21 - 24 Oktober 2008.
Tarikh Tutup: 11.59pm, 25 September 2008 (hantar terus kepada penganjur)
