The “Childhood Memories: Citarasa Nostalgia” programme, held in conjunction with the 2026 Senior Citizens’ Day Celebration, was successfully held on 4 October 2026 at Restoran Rebung Chef Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by the National Trefoil Guild of the Girl Guides Association Malaysia (GGAM), the programme brought together 100 participants and guests in a cheerful, warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
The occasion was further honoured by the presence YABhg. Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, President of the GGAM, together with Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng, Chief Commissioner of GGAM; YAM Tengku Datin Seri Ramlah Azizah binti Almarhum Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, former President of GGAM Terengganu Branch, and Puan Sri Aisya Haji Shamsuddin, Deputy President of GGAM Selangor Branch.
The programme featured a variety of engaging activities inspired by childhood memories, including sharing sessions with guests, singing and dancing with YBhg. Dato’ Chef Ismail Ahmad, as well as a special cooking demonstration by the celebrity chef that brought back fond memories of flavours from the past.
The programme not only provided an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate senior citizens, but also strengthened friendships and fostered a spirit of fellowship and togetherness among members of the Girl Guides Trefoil Guild.
“Childhood Memories: Citarasa Nostalgia” successfully brought generations together through cherished memories, friendship and a meaningful sense of togetherness.
